Kurt A. Smith, Esq.Kurt A. Smith, Esq.

Kurt Smith is one of the founding partners in Smith & Kim Attorneys at Law.  His practice focuses on commercial litigation, personal injury, insurance law, and corporate law.

Mr. Smith holds a Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Mr. Smith also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems. 

Prior to joining Smith and Kim, Mr. Smith was an associate at a prominent national firm, focusing on civil litigation and insurance law.  In addition, Mr. Smith worked as a Project Manager for IBM in its Global Services Division.  In this role, Mr. Smith managed information security projects for Fortune 500 companies.  Mr. Smith also played an integral role in IBM’s globalization projects and assisted in the deployment of technology solutions in Argentina, Brazil, France, Scotland, and India. 

Mr. Smith also spent several years working in the insurance industry as an insurance adjuster during which he specialized in on-scene accident investigations and accident reconstruction. 

Mr. Smith is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Nevada. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Clark County Bar Association.

Howard KimHoward C. Kim, Esq.

Mr. Kim is a member of American Bankruptcy Institute and his practice focuses on bankruptcy and all aspects of commercial litigation.

Mr. Kim holds a Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law. Mr. Kim also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology Magna Cum Laude.  While in law school, Mr. Kim interned for the Chief Bankruptcy Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court District of Nevada.  Mr. Kim also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable David Wall of the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada. 

Upon graduating from the law school, Mr. Kim served as a judicial clerk to Justice Nancy M. Saitta at the Nevada Supreme Court. Following his clerkship, Mr. Kim worked for a very prominent law firm where he served as counsel for Bankruptcy Trustee and Receiver in several high profile cases.  Currently, in addition to serving debtors in their individual bankruptcies, Mr. Kim serves as outside counsel to two Chapter 7 Panel Trustees when the Trustees face difficult legal issues in bankruptcy law.

Mr. Kim is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Nevada. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Clark County Bar Association.

Jack FleemanJack W. Fleeman, Esq.

Jack W. Fleeman is a Las Vegas native with strong ties to the local community.  Mr. Fleeman practices primarily in the areas of family law, wills and trusts, and judgment collections.

Mr. Fleeman graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the UNLV Honors College.  After undergraduate school, Mr. Fleeman worked as emergency medical technician and as an American Heart Association certified CPR and First Aid Instructor.  Mr. Fleeman was also a substitute teacher for the Clark County School District. 

Mr. Fleeman holds a Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the William S. Boyd School of Law and is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Nevada.  Since his admission to the State Bar, Mr. Fleeman has been lead counsel in hundreds of motion hearings and several trials before the Family Court. 

Mr. Fleeman is a member of the American Bar Association, Clark County Bar Association, and of the State Bar of Nevada Family Law Section.
